Kennedy's Orchard

By John K. Lyter, President of the Dauphin-Middle Paxton Historical Society

About 1 tenth mile from the Dauphin Station was the bridge we called "Kennedys Bridge." There were about ten houses there and a large apple orchard where all us kids worked, picking and hauling apples. I'm sure, although it wasn't a station, the train would be stopped for any person or a bushel of fine Stony Creek Apples to go to market.
